This will be taught as a one-on-one private class. I will teach English using slides with pictures, videos, songs, games, and I will utilize TPR. Every class will be interactive, fun, and engaging. A lot of hand motions, facial expressions, and repetition will be used. Our first class I will assess the student to gauge what level they are currently at. Subsequent classes will be based off of the assessment and progress the student is making.

*The lessons are explicitly determined by the students level of English fluency*

Beginner Level
Learners will learn phonics, colors, numbers, letters, beginner sight words, seasons, and more! We will practice how to answer basic questions like “what is this?”, “how are you?”, “how old are you?”, “what is your name?”. We will also review singular/plural nouns.

Intermediate Level
At this level students should already be able to read and speak simple sentences. We will begin to practice reading comprehension and will learn to use vocabulary words in sentences. Students will learn present and past tense. They will learn how to formulate questions. Learners will also learn adjectives and how to use them in a sentence.

Advanced Level
Learners at this level should already have a good grasp and understanding of basic English. Advanced phonics, reading, vocabulary, comprehension will be learned. We will practice answering more advanced reading comprehension questions and learn to write advanced sentences. Grammar will be taught in each class.

I believe learning English should be fun! It is my philosophy that students learn much better if the lesson is fun, engaging, colorful, and interactive.
